Still United Against Hate: Oakland's Role in the Fight Against the Right

IMPORTANT NOTE: Registration for this event will close two hours prior to the event, make sure to RSVP ahead of time to receive the link to join!

Right-wing forces are actively organizing in the Bay Area as part of a national strategy to push their racist, authoritarian agenda on the entire country. Oakland - the city with the strongest grassroots Left organizing culture on the West Coast - has an important and strategic role to play in leading the fight back. We can’t afford to rest on our hard-fought political wins - the Right-wing backlash is real, and we’d better be prepared to defeat it.

Join special guest speakers Tur-Ha Ak, Minister Cherri Murphy, and Dominique Walker, the co-founder of Moms 4 Housing, for an interactive virtual training and strategy session on Oakland’s role in the fight against the Right. This event will bring together a diverse group of organizations to unite against the corporate-funded astroturf movement seeking to scapegoat marginalized communities and progressive leadership for conditions that arose from an unprecedented global pandemic.

Gather your comrades, your affinity group, your community, your organization, and join us to defend our communities and advance our movements.
