  • Neighborhood Meeting w/ C4C Action on June 28

    Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM
    St. Mary's Community Center in Oakland, CA

    Care 4 Community Action is hosting a Neighborhood Meeting with West Oakland residents who want to join us in organizing to get the City to take better care of West Oakland!

    • Who: West Oakland residents who care about their neighborhood!
    • Where: St. Mary's Community Center (925 Brockhurst @ San Pablo)
    • When: Saturday, February 22nd @ 10AM-1PM
    • Why: To bring residents together to get Oakland to take better care of our neighborhoods!

    What can you expect at a C4C Action Neighborhood Meeting?

    • Light breakfast & drinks will be served starting at 10am, with the program starting at 10:30am.
    • Childcare will be provided on-site by a C4C Action Volunteer!
    • Masks will be provided for attendees to wear when not eating or drinking, and we strongly recommend not joining if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

  • D3 Service Day - July 12

    Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM

    C4C Action is hosting this Day of Service with Community Ready Corps!

    We’ll meet near W. Grand & San Pablo on Saturday, July 12th at 10am for the cleanup. 

    • We will have water & snacks! 
    • There will be tasks for every body - if there is anything that would make it possible for you to attend & participate (e.g., a folding chair), please let us know!
  • D3 Service Day - July 12

    C4C Action is hosting this Day of Service with Community Ready Corps!

    We’ll meet near Brockhurst and MLK to clean up trash & submit 311 complaints for infrastructure issues. We will share meet-up location + contact phone number in the reminder email on Friday, March 29.

    • We will have water & snacks! 
    • There will be tasks for every body - if there is anything that would make it possible for you to attend & participate (e.g., a folding chair), please let us know!
    • We are still following COVID Safety Protocols. The most important thing is that you come with a mask that covers your nose and mouth - regardless of your vaccination status!
  • Measure W Public Comment Training 1 rsvp

    City Council Chambers, Oakland City Hall in Oakland, CA

    C4C Action is hosting a Public Comment Training to support Measure W advocates. 

    Our training will take place on zoom, Tuesday, July 15th at 6:30pm. 

    We'll cover:

    • why public comment matters 
    • the logistics of how to sign up and successfully speak to your agenda item 
    • how to be effective as a speaker in this setting
    • key messaging re: Measure W that should be utilized on the 22nd

    Once we receive your RSVP: C4C Action will follow up with you by email with the zoom link for the training and text to support you in giving public comment on the 22nd! 

  • General Assembly Information Drop Shift on July 26

    C4C Action is organizing to get the City to take better care of West Oakland. We know that organizing works - that’s why we door knock together every week. 

    At C4C Action Information Drops (you might've heard them called "lit drops"!), we leave info for District 3 residents to invite them to our next General Assembly AND to demystify "How Oakland City Government Works" & "How Oakland's Public Safety System Works"!

    We are still following COVID Safety Protocols. Please review before your shift. The most important thing is that you come with a mask that covers your nose and mouth - regardless of your vaccination status!

    • Who: Oakland residents who care for community!
    • What: Leaving invitations & info flyers in our D3 neighbors' doors.
    • Where: In District 3 - we’ll follow up with the specific location before your shift!
    • When: Saturdays from 10am - 1pm
    • Why: Because Oaklanders deserve a responsive City government, clean and safe streets and the right to housing!

    ¡Care 4 Community Action está organizando una Asamblea General con los residentes del Distrito 3 que quieran unirse a nosotros en la organización para hacer de la vivienda un derecho humano, invertir en la seguridad integral de la comunidad, cobrar el impuesto a la riqueza corporativa para expandir los servicios de la Ciudad y así, garantizar justicia ambiental para todos!

    • QUIÉN: ¡Residentes del Distrito 3 que se preocupan por su vecindario!
    • DÓNDE: Sala de Reuniones de la Biblioteca West Oakland (1801 Adeline @ 18th Street)
    • CUANDO: Sábado, 1 de junio, 10am-1pm
    • POR QUÉ: ¡Para construir un poder progresista en el Distrito 3!

    ¿Qué puedes esperar de una Asamblea General de C4C Acción C4C?

    • ¡Puedes participar de manera presencial o en línea!
    • ¡La interpretación simultánea español < - > inglés será proporcionada por un equipo de interpretación INCREÍBLE!
    • Si participas EN LÍNEA:

    • Si asistes EN PERSONA:
      • Se servirán aperitivos de desayuno y café a partir de las 10.00 horas, y el programa comenzará a las 10.30 horas.
      • Un voluntario de C4C Action se encargará del cuidado de los niños.
      • Se proporcionarán cubrebocas para que los asistentes las lleven puestas cuando no estén comiendo o bebiendo, y recomendamos encarecidamente no participar si experimentas algún síntoma de COVID-19.
      • El almuerzo será proporcionado por los vecinos del D3.

    Care 4 Community Action is hosting a General Assembly with Oakland residents who want to join the campaign to house 750 people on the largest parcel of vacant City-owned land!

    • WHO: Oakland residents who care about housing justice!
    • WHERE: West Oakland Library's Meeting Room (1801 Adeline @ 18th Street)
    • WHEN: Saturday, June 1st, 10AM-1PM
    • WHY: Because housing is a human right!

    What can you expect at a C4C Action General Assembly?

    • Simultaneous Spanish < - > English interpretation will be provided by an INCREDIBLE interpretation team!
    • You can participate online or in-person! 
      • If you want to attend online, please send an email to [email protected]. Anyone registering after 9pm on Friday, May 31 won't automatically receive the Zoom link!
      • If you're joining IN-PERSON:
        • Breakfast snacks & coffee will be served starting at 10am, with the program starting at 10:30am.
        • Childcare will be provided on-site by a C4C Action Volunteer!
        • Masks will be provided for attendees to wear when not eating or drinking, and we strongly recommend not joining if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
        • Lunch will be provided by D3 neighbors!
