Public Comment Training - Extend the Moratorium on Data Centers!

Care 4 Community Action is hosting another public comment training to teach you everything you need to know about speaking at an Oakland City Council meeting. This session will specifically prepare community members to mobilize to the November 10th  meeting, where the City Council will vote on whether or not to extend CM Fife's Moratorium on Data Centers before it expires on November 20th.

Our training will take place on zoom, Wednesday, November 4th at 6:30pm.

What to expect at this training:

  1. You’ll gain a clear understanding of what the Data Center Moratorium does and why a 10+ month extension is necessary.
  2. We will demystify the process of passing legislation at the City level, and you will leave empowered to meaningfully participate in that process.
  3. You will connect with a cohort of organizers who are moving a coordinated strategy to make sure new development doesn't displace or disenfranchise Oakland residents. We are building a movement and you’re warmly invited to join us for this mobilization and beyond!

Once we receive your RSVP: C4C Action will follow up with you by email with the zoom link for the training and text to support you in giving public comment on November 10th.
